MAINTENANCE: Low maintenance. Needs more water than standard a cactus- you can water once the top inch of soil is dry. In winter months half the watering. Liquid fertilizer for orchids can be used once a week in spring and summer and only once a month in winter. Wear gloves when trimming the stems to avoid pricks.
PLANT NERD TIPS: Ric Rac Cactus will burn with too much direct sunlight. Will grow well with normal humidity, but it is best to reduce humidity in winter. NOTE: it is not recommended to directly mist a Ric Rac.
Low levels of humidity, excess water, or dry soils can lead to pest infestation or illness. If an early infestation is spotted it can be easily removed with a cotton swab soaked with alcohol.
