The Blues Blue Spruce is a large native conifer shrub with a pyramidal habit and blue-green needles that emerge shimmery silver-blue. Prefers full sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils. Drought tolerant once established. Hoopsii is disease resistant and tolerates urban conditions.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance plant. Susceptible to needle cast, rust, and cytospora canker. Watch for aphids, scale, bagworms and budworms. Spider mites infestations can severally damage new growth.
