Fine Line Buckthorn is a dense deciduous shrub with a compact narrow columnar habit and fine feathery dark green foliage that turns golden yellow in fall. Insignificant flowers. Grows best with moist well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Fine Line produces few fruits, and are sterile so is non-invasive.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Susceptible to japanese beetles, caterpillars and scale. Nematodes can attack the roots. Cankers, leaf spots and rust can be problems. The species in this genus are notably resistant to honey fungus.
