Christmas Jewel Holly is a small upright evergreen shrub with a dense pyramidal habit and narrow dark green foliage spines that are blunted. Female plants produce abundant apple red berries without the need of a pollinator that color fully by mid winter and persist into summer. Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Asexual reproduction prohibited.
