Monrovia® Bright Edge Yucca is a nearly stemless dwarf evergreen shrub with rigid variegated sword-like medium green with bright gold edges foliage and curling treads along the margins. A large central stalk rises in summer bearing long panicles of fragrant nodding creamy white flowers followed by seed capsules. Best color with full sun and dry to medium well-drained soils. It is drought, salt, and shade tolerant.
Yucca filamentosa is a southeastern native that hosts the Yucca Giant-Skipper and the Cofaqui Giant Skipper butterflies. The nectar provides for hummingbirds and other moths and butterflies, while the berries are eaten by small mammals.
