Highlights Arborvitae is a tightly packed upright evergreen shrub with a pyramidal habit that become columnar with age. The flat sprays of yellow-green become more gold depending on how much sun it gets and retains its color in winter. Best color full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
