Monrovia® Magical Gold Forsythia is a compact deciduous shrubs with an upright mounded habit. The small deep green leaves take on a yellow color in fall. Coating masses of larger golden yellow flowers bloom heavily on lightly arching branches in early spring before its leaves are out. Flowers best in full sun and well-drained soils. Tolerates deer and drought once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly-weekly or more in extreme heat. Unkempt growth may occur if shrub not regularly pruned after flowering. Propagate with stem cuttings. Some susceptibility to leaf spot and crown gall.
