Monrovia® Anacostia Camellia is an evergreen shrub with an upright growth habit and glossy, dark green leaves. The large, semi-double rich pink flowers bloom from late winter to mid spring. This plant thrives in part shade to full sun and prefers well-drained, acidic soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium maintenance. Camellias require regular watering, especially during dry periods, but does not tolerate waterlogged soil. Pruning after flowering can help maintain a tidy shape. While generally disease-resistant, it can be susceptible to pests such as scale and aphids, and diseases like root rot and camellia petal blight.
