Red Bottlebrush is a dense tropical evergreen shrub with an upright growth habit and gently arching branches. Its small narrow grey-green leaves earns russet tones in winter. Showy, fluffy red ‘bottlebrush’ flowers bloom in summer and are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Does best foliage in full sun and well-drained soil. While it can grow as a tree it usually is trained as a small shrub or standard when sold commercially out of its zones.
