Sassy Summer Sunset Yarrow is an columnar, mat-forming herbaceous perennial with deeply dissected aromatic grey-green foliage. The small flowers that open a rich dark orange with yellow centers bloom in large flat clusters on sturdy stems above the foliage in summer and fade to golden yellow as they mature. An excellent cut flower that retains color when dried. Heat and drought tolerant. Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Sassy Summer Sunset is sturdy enough that the stems do not need staking.
