Red June Plum is an easy-care fruiting deciduous tree with a symmetrical crown and a showy display of fragrant white flowers, but is primarily grown for its strong crop of early season fruit. Its firm bright red fruits turn darker red with ripeness and has a tangy tartness with a tropical twist with hints of pineapple and mango. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Red June is self-pollinating, but a cross-pollinator will increase the yield, and has a chill requirement of 400 hours.
