Bruce Plum is a semi-dwarf deciduous tree with an upright habit that has a showy display of fragrant white flowers but is primarily grown for its summer freestone fruit. Its fruits have sweet-tart ruby red skin with sweet and mellow yellow-orange flesh that is good fresh or used for cooking. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Bruce only requires 500 chill hours, has excellent drought tolerance, and good disease resistance. Needs a cross-pollinator for best yield.
