Little Lemon Goldenrod is a native dwarf herbaceous perennial with sharply serrated medium green foliage. The dense plume-like panicles of tiny bright yellow flowers that bloom in summer attract butterflies. Best color with full sun and slightly acidic moist well-drained soils. Deadhead to prevent re-seeding and promote a second autumn bloom.
While falsely blamed for allergies, Goldenrod flower tea has been attributed to relief from sinus troubles. Additionally, it is believed that goldenrod may soothe a mental and physical exhaustion. *
