Illumination Periwinkle is a fast-spreading evergreen perennial that forms a dense carpet with smooth stems and small variegated foliage that emerges chartreuse and matures to bright gold with dark green margins. Large, solidary bright violet-blue to lavender-blue flowers bloom from late spring to early summer. Grows best with part shade and moist rich well-drained soils. Can tolerate to near full shade and drought. Note: Spreads aggressively and considered invasive in GA.
