Sweet Autumn Clematis is a compact vigorous semi-evergreen perennial vine that can be used for climbing or a groundcover and pointy green foliage. The fragrant star-shaped flowers that open deep red and shift to dark purple blanket the branches of new wood from mid summer to frost. Grows best with partial sun on the roots and full sun on the vines, moist well-drained soils. Needs support to climb.
