Carolina Sweetheart Redbud is a deciduous flowering tree with a broad crown and rich pink flowers in early spring on bare branches. Its deep green heart-shaped foliage emerges burgundy before turning a stunning hot pink that transitions to white before slowly fading to green from the center giving a short window of having a variegated effect in summer. In fall, the leaves turn various shades of yellow. Thrives in part sun and well-drained soils.
