French Lace Weigela is a compact upright deciduous shrub with dense variegated lime green foliage that has yellow margins and a fine red edge, and earns a warm orange and red overtones in fall. Blooms of glossy bright red funnel-shaped flowers with deep pink throats begin in spring. Best flowering and color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Can tolerate some light shade.
