Monrovia® Burgundy Cordyline is a colorful broadleaf perennial often used as a house plant with long, grass-like foliage that gracefully arches with age and is rich red to burgundy depending on the lighting. If outside in summer tiny white fragrant blooms on red stems will appear but it rarely flowers indoors. The best color occurs with bright indirect light and consistently moist well-drained peaty soils. The Festival series are compact and only reach up to 3ft.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water when the first inch of topsoil is dry to the touch. Lessen watering in winter. Fertilize with low-dose fertilizer 1-2 times a month during the growing season. Too much sun will lead to fading and browning, to much water also browns but the leaves will become soft. Excess water can lead to root rot.
COMPANION PLANTS: Crocosmia, Impatiens, Hosta
