Red Rooster Leatherleaf Sedge is a fine upright evergreen grass with stiff copper-red to bronze foliage that arch slightly at the tips. Sparse insignificant flowers rarely bloom. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. It can be planted in near full sun if the soil is consistently moist but will have less color. Cut foliage to the ground and remove it in late winter. Mealybugs and aphids can be a problem in dense clumps, especially in hot summers.
