Mary Gregory Stokes’ Aster is a compact native evergreen perennial with medium green foliage that forms a basal rosette. Fluffy soft lemon yellow Cornflower-like flowers bloom on erect leafy stems from summer into fall. Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils. Good drought and heat tolerance.
Stokesia laevis are a native host plant for several moths and butterflies, notably the Swallowtail Butterfly.
