Brilliant Poppies is a short-lived perennial or annual with a mounding habit and lobed basal foliage and wiry stems sporting airy flowers. These large cup shaped flowers are a fiery red-orange with a black eye and dark purple stamen, and bloom from late spring into early summer. Prefers light afternoon shade in hot summer climates and dry to evenly moist well-drained soil.
