Honeybell Tangelo is a compact fruit-producing evergreen shrub that has an attractive spring bloom and produces bell shaped winter fruits. The juicy fruits themselves have a thin easily pealed rind and a sweet-tart flavor that is between a grapefruit and tangerine. Grows best in full sun and deep, evenly moist, sandy to loamy well-drained acidic soils. Honeybell is self pollinating, though another pollinator would increase yield, and can tolerate a mild frost.
