Black Pearl Ornamental Pepper is a vigorous bushy annual noted for its foliage that quickly turns a shiny black and cherry shaped fruit. The flowers are insignificant but are followed by clusters of black fruits that mature to bright red. Best color in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Despite being called Ornamental Pepper, the fruits are edible- they are just extremely hot.
