Golden Lemon Thyme is a culinary evergreen shrub grown for its dense lemon scented and flavored foliage with golden edges. Its stems are thin yet woody, cut back in early spring to encourage new growth. Fragrant lavender flowers bloom in summer attracting butterflies. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soil. Golden Lemon Thyme is tolerant of light foot traffic and drought.
Lemon Thyme's leaves can be used as an antiseptic and disinfectant. Essential oils from the leaves are less of an irritant than other Thymes and is often used for aromatherapy for asthma and other respiratory issues.*
