Sweet Basil is a small culinary herb with glossy edible foliage. The aromatic whorles can be pinched off to harvest. The summer flowers can be pinched off as well to promote continued growth until frost. Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils. If grown inside, basil can continue to grow year long.
