Samurai Ginkgo is a slow-growing deciduous tree with a regular pyramidal habit. The larger than standard fan-shaped leaves have a deeper cut and gain a rich gold color in fall. Best color in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. Samurai is a male variety thus does not produce the messy foul-smelling fruits most gardeners avoid.
