Cinnamon Girl Distylium is a compact evergreen shrub with a rounded habit. Its new growth emerges plum-purple and matures to blue-green which it retains in winter. The small red flowers bloom on arching stems in winter and early spring attracting butterflies and pollinators. Grows best in full sun and slightly acidic, moist well-drained soil. Tolerates drought and wet soils.
