Heart Throb Dogwood is an attractive flowering deciduous tree with tiered horizontal branching that blooms in mid to late spring and has dark green foliage that turns bright red in fall. Its button flowers are surrounded by large star-shaped pink bracts and are followed by small, round pink berries that resemble raspberries. Grows best in part sun and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Prone to leaf scorching or spots in full sun. Does not have the disease or pest problems of the native dogwoods. If dropped fruit is left to ferment it can attract yellow jackets.
