Japanese Zelkova is a upward branching deciduous tree with a vase-shaped and rounded crown that becomes more cylindrical as it matures. The serrated green leaves transform into a beautiful display of yellow, orange, and sometimes even reddish-purple in the fall. Insignificant spring flowers. Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Tolerates drought and urban conditions.
