Bonfire Dwarf Peach is a highly ornamental fruiting deciduous tree with a low spreading habit that is grown more for its striking foliage than it fruit. Its foliage emerges a deep red and transitions to a dark green before turning a burgundy in summer that holds through fall. Profuse blooms of fragrant pink flowers with deep pink eyes that deepen in color as they mature coat the branches in spring attracting butterflies. While edible fresh, its is better to use the peaches for canning. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
