Panama Red Echinacea is a compact freely branching native perennial with strong upright stems and aromatic dark green foliage. The heavy blooms of fragrant, deep orange-red flowers with dark cones have an extra long season throughout summer and well into fall. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soils. The flowers attract butterflies and bees, and spent stems will stay erect and attract birds if not removed. Panama Red is disease resistant and drought tolerant.
