Strawberry Foxglove is a compact herbaceous perennial with a basal mound of downy green leaves. A strong tall spire packed with large pendular copper-pink tubular flowers rises above the foliage in summer. Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist, well-drained acidic soils. The leaves are highly toxic.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Powdery mildew and rot can cause considerable damage if left unchecked. Dense crowns may rot in poorly drained soils. Watch for aphids, mealy bugs, slugs, and beetles.
