Midnight Marvel is a well branching deciduous shrub with a mounding habit. The long violet maple shaped leaves turn brilliant orange in fall. The fall color contrasts nicely with the huge 9” carmine red flowers with a prominent yellow tubular stamen that bloom mid-summer until the first frost attracting butterflies. Best bloom in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
