Carpet Camellia is a compact evergreen shrub with a spreading mounded habit and lush glossy deep green evergreen leaves that stay green year-round. Heavy blooms of large frilly double pink flowers with prominent yellow stamen bloom in fall attracting butterflies. Best blooms occur in partial sun and acidic, well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance plant. Water regularly, but needs well-draining and mildly acidic soils. Too much water retention can increase susceptibility to fungal diseases. Yellowing leaves indicates acidity too low. When flowers are too dense to fully open, prune dead or weak wood.
