Monrovia® Blue Jean Baby Russian Sage is a compact woody perennial with fine upright aromatic grey-green foliage. Whorls of light lavender blue flowers on airy pinnacles cover the foliage from mid summer to mid fall. Best flowering in full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established. DO NOT eat the leaves- they are mildly toxic, however the flowers are edible and have a peppery flavor.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly. Cut foliage almost to ground as new growth appears. Tends to sprawl as summer progresses, but stems will flop with too much shade.
LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Rock Gardens, Xeriscape, and Containers.
