Wine & Roses Weigela is a mounding deciduous shrub with dense glossy dark purple foliage. Blooms of glossy rose-pink funnel-shaped flowers begin in late spring and return again with a lighter bloom in summer. Fall color and fruit are insignificant. Best flowering and color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Can tolerate some light shade.
