Red Velvet Bee Balm is an upright herbaceous perennial with well-branched sturdy stems that support a second flush of flowers, and aromatic dark green foliage that emerges with a bronze caste. The large, fragrant fringe-like cherry red flowers blooms in whorls at the top of the thick stems in summer, attracting bees and butterflies. Best bloom in full sun and well-drained soil. The Upscale series has improved resistance to powdery mildew.
