Hot and Cold Red Hot Poker is a semi-evergreen perennial with upright grass like dark green leaves. A succession of thick showy spikes sporting a bottle -brush like cluster of flowers that open tangerine orange and age to creamy white bloom on naked stems throughout summer into fall. Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
