Monrovia® Early Bird Purple Ice Plant is a vigorous evergreen succulent that makes an excellent groundcover with a tidy mound of fleshy foliage that has transparent flakes resembling ice. Vibrant red-purple flowers bloom in late spring into fall. Needs full sun and dry, sharply-drained soils. Heat and drought tolerant. The Early Bird series' flowers open in the morning rather than midday.
