Don Egolf Chinese Redbud is a compact flowering deciduous tree with a tidy multi-stemmed habit and densely packed clusters of rosy mauve flowers that bloom in early spring. The glossy heart shaped foliage turns a nice yellow in fall. Grows best in part shade with moist well drained soils. Don Egolf is sterile and resistant to Botryosphaeria canker.
