Jade Cross Brussel Sprouts is an extra-early season cool season annual with a compact upright habit and a high yield of medium firm dark green cabbage-like buds that have excellent flavor.  Rarely flowers. It typically has a crisp and sweet mild flavor that gets sweeter after frost. Best if grown in rich, consistently moist well-drained loamy soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Potential insect problems include cabbageworms, cabbage loopers, flea beetles, caterpillars, thrips, slugs and aphids. Root maggots may be a problem in some areas. Watch for leaf spots, blackleg, black rot and yellows.
