Winter Hazel is slow-growing deciduous shrub that forms a dense spreading mound heart shaped foliage that turns yellow to gold in fall. Its fragrant buttercup yellow flowers clusters bloom in early spring before the foliage emerges. Best bloom in rich, consistently moist, well-drained acidic soils.
