Claret Joy Asiatic Lily is a dwarf bulbous perennial with thick dark green basal leaves.  Sturdy stems sport huge bright red flowers that bloom in midsummer.  Prefers full sun on the upper plant with the roots shaded and moist well-drained acidic soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance. Do not let the soil dry out- however, too much moisture without draining will led to bulb rot.  Lily leaf beetles can be an issue.  Other potential problems include mosaic virus, aphids, and botrytis
