Red Spiderweb Japanese Maple is a dwarf deciduous tree known for its weeping habit and delicate, extra fine lacy foliage that resembles a spider web. Its foliage emerges bright red and returns to a deeper red in fall. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. While Red Spider Web has improved heat and sun tolerance it still prefers afternoon shade in southern areas.
Also sold as Acer palmatum 'Beni kumo-no-su'.
