First Knight Napier Grass is an erect tender ornamental grass with broad arching foliage that is a rich near-black purple. fluffy red bottle-brush like flower spikes bloom in late fall, if not exposed to freezing temperatures and fade to tan. Grows best with full sun and medium to wet well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
