Avalanche Feather Reed Grass is a tufting ornamental grass that is a soft green with white banding and tall flowering stems. Its feathery stalks emerge a reddish-brown in spring and turn a beautiful golden yellow in fall. Prefers sunny areas in rich, moist soils. Avalanche is a variegated form of Karl Foerster's.
