Alpine Cinquefoil is a slow-growing herbaceous perennial that forms a ground-hugging mat of horizontal stems sporting tiny dark green foliage with a spicy aroma. Small yellow buttercup flowers bloom throughout spring and may rebloom in fall. Grows best in full sun and moist, sandy to loamy well-drained soil. Tolerates light shade and drought tolerance once established.
