Village Green Zelkova is a upward branching deciduous tree with a vase-shaped crown and bark that exfoliates when mature. The slender, lightly toothed foliage is a medium green that transitions from gold to rusty red in fall. Insignificant green flowers in spring give way to non-showy fruits in fall. Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Tolerates drought and urban conditions. Thought Village Green is a fast grower its branches stay strong.
