Monrovia® Fire Island Hydrangea is a compact reblooming deciduous shrub with serrated dark green leaves that emerge and turn a fantastic shade maroon in fall.  Its abundant bicolor large-flowered lacecap panicles bloom throughout summer are a red edged white that matures to rosy pink regardless of the soil PH, attracting butterflies and pollinators all the while.  Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  The Seaside Serenade series is a Monrovia exclusive that has longer lasting blooms and extra sturdy stems, and resists sun scorching.
