Bayou Bliss Distylium is a compact evergreen shrub with a rounded habit and fine blue-green foliage. The small red-maroon flowers bloom on arching stems in winter and early spring attracting butterflies and pollinators. Grows best in full sun and slightly acidic, moist well-drained soil. Tolerates drought and wet soils.
Jewel Box is the old name of the same plant.
